The Ukrainian national team at London's XXX Olympic Summer Games included three students and undergraduates, and at the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, six students and graduate students from Sumy State University. In 2016, the Ukrainian Academy of Banking was joined by the SSU through its reorganization, and in 2018, the Sumy State Research Institute of Mineral Fertilizers and Pigments.
