Donetsk National Medical University

Donetsk National Medical University is one of the largest medical university of the former USSR. The University is considered as one of the best medical schools in Ukraine. It was established in 1930.

Approximately 15200 MBBS students study at the eight faculties of Donetsk National Medical University in Ukraine

The students of DNMU get their professional training at 26 specialized bases (including Donetsk multi- field medical and preventive organizations and research institutes) and 28 highly equipped clinical bases (including main hospitals of Donetsk) under the supervision of highly qualified specialists. The students' campus has 13 study buildings equipped with 37 computer classes and libraries, 9 hostels with reading halls and sports rooms.

Number of students are studding in Donetsk National Medical University through MedDoviaus group of Education. At present the total teaching staff at Donetsk National Medical University of Abroad is 1147.

Among them are 150 professors and 243 Associate Professors, academic title of doctors and candidate of medical sciences are respectively 117 and 449 people. The Donetsk National Medical University is a member of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and two corresponding members of AMS of Ukraine, 4 laureates of State Prize of Ukraine, 18 distinguished scientists and engineers, 8 distinguished doctors, 2 Honoured worker of Education of Ukraine, 37 full members of international and departmental academies science, and 1 Hero of Ukraine.

The university of Abroad has granted 45,000 degrees, to doctors, well-known scientists, researchers, health care providers from Ukraine, Russia, other ex-soviet republics and 89 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and Americas.

DNMU is considered to be the best medical school in Ukraine and all over Europe.

The University is known as DNMU and it's the abbreviated name of Donetsk National Medical University.In connection with the Russian and Ukrainian Conflict on Donbass Region, the main campus of University was moved to Mariupol City (where was located two faculty of DNMU before). Due to conflict, the administration of University and staff of the University decided to relocate the campuses all over Ukraine.

At every campus of DNMU, students are getting training in English, Russian and Ukrainian Languages. At Kirovohrad and Chernihiv Campuses students get training in French Language also.

Donetsk National Medical University has complete infrastructure at all Campuses, at every campus DNMU has minimum of 7 hospitals working under DNMU as their Clinical bases for students and for Scientific Research work. All the theoretical and Clinical departments for students are functioning completely at all campuses. Scientific and research laboratories are available at every campus. At all campuses DNMU has good environment for students and teaching staff. DNMU provide fully equipped labs for all students at all campuses. DNMU has the biggest of Scientific research papers every year in all over Europe among all medical Universities( according to the Scopus).

We are the only University in whole Europe except French schools which provide training in French medium of instruction.
